October has not quite decided if it wants to be Summer or Fall in Houston. It was been nice most days with a little bit of cool weather and breeze but lately it seems to get warmer. Gold Daisy nominations have been going on for what seems like forever. And for that I am sorry. I had so many things planned in September that time got away from me. But this time I am cutting the nominations of on Friday. So get your nominations in and there will be a random drawing for $25 gift card to a local business of your choice.
October is also National Bullying Awareness Month. This article provides some ways you can talk to your children about bullying. For younger kids, it may way several discussions to help them understand the concept of bullying. It may be an uncomfortable discussion for some but continue to have open communication with your children and they can be better prepared if they ever find themselves in that situation.
