Journey To Bethlehem

By Evan Schwartz November 15, 2016
Experience the night hope was born. Current - A Christian Church (currentchristian.org) is hosting the 15th annual Journey to Bethlehem - an outdoor walk-through drama portraying the birth of Christ. In years past, over 7,000 guests attended this Katy tradition. The event will be held Thursday through Sunday, December 8-11th at Current - A Christian Church, located at 26600 Westheimer Parkway, just south of Interstate 10, Pin Oak exit #740.

A winding trail and experienced guides will lead you through a series of live action
scenes tracing the journey Mary and Joseph took centuries ago as they were expecting the miraculous birth of Christ. Your travels will lead you through the village of Nazareth, into the camp of the Magi, past the Roman census and open-air markets of Judea, ultimately ending at the simple manger where Christmas began.
For more than a decade, Current has been presenting this event to the Katy community.

“Each year it grows. We have live animals and more than 250 actors in costume,” Pastor
Darren Walter explains. “Journey to Bethlehem is an amazing experience that MUST be a part of your family Christmas.” This is expected to be the largest year ever for Journey to Bethlehem.
