I learned about Kiddie Academy late last year when there were plans to build in several Katy locations. I have come to know the owners of Kiddie Academy Katy West and have been increasingly impressed with their vision.
Kiddie Academy as a learning child care center, has very specific and detailed curriculum based on age groups. Each center has a set of curriculum books that the staff utilize daily.
Many child care centers offer structured curriculums but what sets this location apart is the staff, from the owners to the teachers and all the people who help run the center.
Rahel and Lily are the owners and they strive to cultivate a family environment not only for their teachers and staff but also for families who attend.
My kids spent a part of their summer break attending Kiddie Academy Katy West and on their first day, their was some miscommunication on my part and they were not expected until later in the morning. However, when I arrived Tori, the Director, did not bat an eye and was extremely accommodating.
Tori has over 5 years experience in the child care arena and she is the first bright light you talk to when you call or visit the center. She is on top of all that goes on in the center.
Lily has experience working with kids with special needs and loves working with children of all needs and abilities.
I had a chance to speak with one of the boy's teacher, Nicol, and had a wonderful conversation with her about the center. She has been there since the center opened a few months ago. One of the things she loves about being a teacher there is that it is not just about watching kids. Their philosophy is to allow kids to feel like this is their second home. And she had only positive and wonderful things to say about the owners, Rahel and Lily.
My kids loved their time at Kiddie Academy and all the teachers who took care of them during their time there. The teachers are energetic, welcoming, and nurturing to all the children. (I enjoyed hearing how wonderful and helpful my kids are.) They are a family and want each of their new/current families to feel like they apart of our giant family. Other benefits of Kiddie Academy Katy West
Tadpoles is the communication system utilized to inform and update parents. It is used for lesson plans that are inputted weekly teachers and staff to send to parents in real time. Usually 150 pictures are sent daily to all the parents so they feel just as involved in their children's learning as they are. All meals, nap times, and diaper changes are inputted for parent to see as well.
KinderMusik is an amazing program they offer to parents free and it is the only fully researched child’s music program in the country.
