You may not be able to take your kids on a trip to the local zoo in your town.  But did you know that the San Diego Zoo, one of the 8 largest zoos in the world, is open to all for a virtual field trip?

The famous San Diego Zoo has more than 4,000 animals of over 800 species.  Known for their extremely active role in conservation, they breed many species in captivity for later release into their native habitats. Do your kids have interests in learning about bears?  They have live cams of polar bears diving into the water, pre-recorded video footage of cuddly pandas, and even Koala babies riding on their momma's backs.  Or is bird watching more your little one's "thing"?  If so, check out the burrowing owl cams or spy on the condors in the Safari Park.

Take a peek into their zoo exhibits with their live camera feeds.  They even open up their archives of old footage.  If you are really looking for some animal education while also having fun, here is your chance.
